YOUR SPACE. MY VISION. ZERO COST.

I’m filming design transformations around ATL for my portfolio + social media. If your space needs love (and you don’t mind some camera action), I’m your girl.

How It Works

Here’s how it works if you’re selected for a makeover:

1. Apply

Fill out the quick form to tell me about your space, your budget, and your style. This helps me see if we’re a good match.

2. Chat & Consult

If selected, we’ll hop on a call (or meet in person if local) to chat more about your space, goals, and vibe.

3. Site Visit & Measurements

For local projects, I’ll visit your space to take measurements, photos, and notes. If virtual, we’ll work from photos and a video walk-through.

4. Design Plan & Budget Board

You’ll get a personalized design plan including:

  • Moodboard + color scheme
  • 3D renderings or sketches
  • Curated product list with pricing

Layout suggestions
All based on your actual budget.

5. You Approve Everything

Nothing moves forward without your sign-off. You decide what to purchase or skip — full control, zero surprises.

6. Install & Style

I’ll help bring the vision to life! That could mean rearranging furniture, painting, sourcing pieces, or working with trades for renovations.

7. Filming & Final Reveal

I’ll document the transformation — focused on the design, not you (unless you want to join!). You’ll get gorgeous photos and a space that feels brand new.

Who is Behind This?

Hey, I’m Kera — a design-obsessed Atlanta local.

By trade, I’m an Influencer Marketing Manager, but my heart lives in furniture stores, color palettes, and vintage architecture deep-dives. I’m finally diving headfirst into my passion for interior design, and I’m on a mission to turn everyday spaces into something unforgettable.

I’ve called Atlanta home for almost 10 years, and my style is shaped by my love of 70s warmth, 80s curves, and all things a little unexpected. Think: Retro expressionism meets modern soul.

Also… I’m a fiery Aries, so if there’s a vision, I’m going for it — full speed.

And yes, I dream daily of the sunken conversation pit I’ll one day build in my forever home.

FAQ

Is it really free?

Yes — the design services are completely free. You won’t pay me for the design, planning, or setup. This is how I’m building my portfolio and content as an aspiring interior designer.

However, I do ask that you have some budget for decor, materials, or small upgrades — even if it’s modest. Once I visit your space (or do a virtual consult), I’ll create a design board with clear pricing and options based on your budget.

You’ll get to:

  • See exactly what each item costs
  • Approve or pass on anything before we move forward
What kind of filming will you do? Will I be on camera?

Great question! I’ll be creating casual, behind-the-scenes content similar to what you see from creators like Lone Fox or Dani Klaric — think progress shots, styling moments, DIY clips, and fun before-and-afters.

The focus is mostly on the space and the transformation, not on you (unless you’re comfortable being involved). You’ll never be filmed without your permission, and I’ll always let you know what’s being captured.

The goal is to tell a beautiful, authentic story of the makeover — in a way that feels creative, relaxed, and inspiring for others watching.

Where are you located, and how far will you travel?

I’m based in Tucker, GA, and I’m happy to travel within the Metro Atlanta area. If you’re unsure if you’re too far, just apply—I’ll reach out to confirm! Some surrounding areas I can travel to include Decatur, Marietta, Stone Mountain, Sandy Springs, etc.

What kind of spaces do you work on?

I work on all types of spaces — from simple styling projects to full-on transformations.

That includes:

  • Bedrooms & living rooms
  • Entryways, dining areas, and offices
  • Bathroom & kitchen remodels

If you’re planning a renovation, I’ve got the design skills and trusted trades on hand to bring it to life — from paint and tile to lighting and cabinetry. I’ll help with everything from layout to finishes to styling.

Whether it’s a cozy apartment refresh or a full kitchen glow-up, I’m here to help you create a space that feels custom, thoughtful, and totally you.

Can renters apply too?

Absolutely! I specialize in renter-friendly designs that don’t require permanent changes. Think removable wallpaper, clever layouts, temporary fixtures, and DIY tricks that won’t risk your security deposit.

How long does the whole process take?

The full makeover process usually takes 2 to 6 weeks, depending on the size of the project and how quickly decisions are made. Here’s a rough breakdown:

  • Week 1: Application review + initial consult
  • Week 2: Site visit (if local) + design planning
  • Week 3: Final design delivery + sourcing/shopping
  • Week 4–6: Installation, styling, filming, and reveal

If your project involves remodeling (like kitchens or bathrooms), the timeline may extend to 6–8+ weeks, depending on contractor schedules and material availability.

I’ll keep you updated every step of the way with a clear timeline and flexible scheduling options that work for you.

What is the average cost of hiring an Interior Designer?

Hiring an interior designer is a powerful investment — not just in aesthetics, but in peace of mind, functionality, and the long-term value of your home.

Here’s what most clients typically pay for one professionally designed room:

Service

Average Cost

Design Consultation

$250 – $500

Hourly Design Work

$100 – $300/hr (20–40 hrs)

Moodboards + Product Sourcing

$750 – $2,000+

Floor Plans / Space Planning

$1,000 – $3,000+

Project Coordination & Styling

$1,500 – $5,000+

Total Average Per Room

$4,000 – $12,000+

And that doesn’t include markups on furniture, design retainers, or minimum spending requirements that many designers require.

With Studio Hawkins, you receive:

✔️ Full professional interior design service
✔️ No consultation or hourly fees
✔️ No markup on products
✔️ Total creative collaboration
✔️ High-level design at zero cost

You get a designer-level transformation, and I get the opportunity to grow — it’s a win-win.

Why are you doing this?

Design is more than a service for me — it’s my passion. Most interior designers have to take on any job just to pay the bills, which means they rarely get to work on the kinds of projects they actually love. I’ve made a very intentional decision to pursue interior design in a way that brings joy, creativity, and fulfillment, not just income.

My goal is to grow my social media presence so I can eventually do this full-time — and be able to always choose the kind of design work that really lights me up. That means exposure is a big deal right now. Every project I film and share helps me build toward a career where I get to create freely, not just work to stay busy.

If we move forward together, just know you’re helping me get one step closer to that dream — and in return, I’m going to give your space everything I’ve got.
